The plant adopts the second-generation polystyrene proprietary technology independently developed by Guangdong Huanqiu Guangye Engineering Co., Ltd., which is affiliated to China Huanqiu Engineering Co., Ltd. It includes process units such as batching, polymerization, devolatilization, vacuum, granulation and hot oil, as well as auxiliary facilities such as public utilities. The plant has 1 production line for general-purpose polystyrene (GPPS) products and 2 production lines for high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) products. The single-line capacity is 100,000 tons/year. The product lines can be switched to produce each other, with an operating flexibility of 60% - 110%. It is expected to be handed over on March 30, 2025. The commissioning of this plant will further improve the product chain, balance the supply of styrene raw materials, and is of great significance to the overall implementation of the refining and chemical integration transformation and upgrading project.
